In this ceremony attended by a number of prominent pundits and university lecturers in human sciences as well as some FIA winners, indigenization of human sciences and indigenous human sciences were reviewed and evaluated within the framework of scientific debate. Then a plaque of honor on behalf of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, a plaque of honor from UNESCO, one from ISESCO, Farabi memorial as well as a cash prize were handed out to Head of SAMT Organization, Dr. Ahmad Ahmadi, and to Master Seyed Abdullah Anvar.
It is to be noted that the two winners failed to attend the ceremony in which prizes of the 3rd Farabi International Award were granted on October 24.
Speaking at the ceremony as the host, head of FIA Secretariat, Dr. Ali Akbar Alikhani, praised the services and scientific personality of Dr Ahmadi and Anvar.
He said, “We have the honor of hosting two prominent scientific personalities of the country whose valuable services to human sciences are not concealed to anyone; two great personalities who did not have the possibility of participating in the 3rd Farabi International Award in October and this ceremony is being held to praise these esteemed scholars.”

Stating that all the participants will take part in the ceremony within the framework of a scientific debate, head of the Secretraite and Institute for Social and Cultural Studies added that since the subject of the Award relates to research on human sciences and since the objective of the Award is to praise the status of human sciences and lay emphasis on this field of science in the country, the issue of “indigenization of human sciences and indigenous human sciences” will be discussed in the meeting by thinkers and scholars.
After Dr. Alikhani’s short speech, Secretary of the 3rd Farabi International Award, Dr Mohammad Baqer Khorramshahd, as well as Dr. Mostafa Mohaqqeq Damad, Dr. Reza Davari Ardakani, Dr. Faramarz Rafipour, Dr. Abbas Horri, Dr. Fadaee, Dr. Safaee, Dr. Saeed Reza Amoli, and Dr. Hamid Reza Tayebi praised the scientific status and valuable services of the two winners of the 3rd FIA and exchanged their scientific views on indigenous human sciences in Iran.
