In order to achieve the above goals and fulfill its duties in a suitable manner, Farabi International Award’s structure consists of four main pillars, that is, the president, the policymaking council, the secretary and secretariat, and the scientific council, whose specifications follow:
1. President of the Award: The esteemed Minister of Science, Research and Technology is the president of the Farabi International Award;
2. Policymaking Council: This council is the highest body making decisions on large-scale programs of the Award. Its main members include:
- Minister of Science, Research and Technology (President of the Council);
- Deputy minister of science, research and technology for cultural and social affairs (Vice President);
- Deputy minister of science, research and technology for research;
- Deputy director of Presidential Office’s Plan and Strategic Supervision Department for cultural affairs;
- A deputy minister from the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance nominated by the minister of culture and Islamic guidance;
- Secretary of the High Council of Cultural Revolution;
- President of the Academy of Sciences;
- President of the Academy of Persian Language and Literature
- President of the Academy of Arts;
- President of the Institute for Cultural and Social Studies, affiliated to the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology;
- President of the Humanities and Cultural Studies Research Institute;
- President of the Islamic Culture and Thought Research Institute;
- President of the Seminary and University Research Institute;
- President of the Islamic Culture and Thought Research Institute;
- President of the Theosophy and Philosophy Research Institute;
- President of the University Jihad;
- Head of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting;
- Head of the Iran Studies Foundation
- Deputy director for research of the Qom Seminary;
- Secretary-general of the National Commission and Regional Office of ISESCO;
- Secretary-general of the National Commission and Regional Office of UNESCO;
- Secretary of the Kharazmi International Award;
- Three to five prominent scholars in humanities and social sciences as proposed by the Minister of Science, Research and Technology and confirmed by the High Council of Cultural Revolution;
3. Secretary and secretariat of the Award: Deputy minister of science, research and technology for cultural and social affairs is secretary of the third edition of the Farabi International Award. The secretary will be in charge of all scientific and executive aspects of the Award. He is also in charge of the Scientific Council and the minister’s substitute in the Policymaking Council of the Award.
The secretariat of the Farabi International Award has been established at the Institute for Cultural and Social Studies, which is affiliated to the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology, from the very beginning and is still there. It is in charge of receiving, archiving, managing, and backing up the judgment process, selection of top participants, and finally, organizing the Award.
4. Scientific Council of the Award: This council is the main source for scientific programs of the festival which gives final confirmation on judgment bylaws and selection of top participants. Councilors include heads of 11 scientific groups of the Award in addition to the secretary of the Award, head of the secretariat, and secretary of the Scientific Council.
5.Scientific Groups of the Award:Screening, judgment and selection of the works and participants is done by eleven scientific groups of the Award. Those groups include 5-7 prominent scholars or researchers who work under the supervision of the head of the group, who in turn, is member of the Scientific Council. The third festival consists of the following 11 groups:
 
1. History, geography, and archeology
2. Law
3. Language and literature
4. Social and communication sciences
5. Economics, management, and accounting
6. Educational sciences, psychology and behavioral sciences, and physical education
7. Political sciences, international relations and regional studies
8. Jurisprudence, principles of Islam, Quranic sciences, and hadith
9. Philosophy, theosophy, ethics, religions, and mysticism
10. Information technology, information Dissemination and bookkeeping
11. Arts and aesthetics studies.
